Peaks to Plains Design is seeking motivated and enthusiastic candidates for an Administrative Marketing Assistant in our Billings office, to handle the administrative, marketing and public relations needs of the organization. The ideal candidate will be highly-organized, entrepreneurial, energetic and reliable as well as possess excellent communication, customer service and computer skills. The main responsibilities of this position include:
• Collaboration with staff to develop and implement an annual strategic marketing plan • Develop marketing materials using Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe InDesign). • Prepare responses to request for proposals (RFPs) for potential projects using strong technical writing with graphic design. • Prepare the content strategy for deployment on the company’s social media and web pages. • Prepare press releases, collaborate with the media and speak publicly on behalf of the company or its clients. • Maintain company databases such as mailing lists, contact lists and client information. • Assist with event and meeting planning and implementation. • Be “plugged in” to local, state and regional activities affiliated with the industry • Attend trade shows and project meetings; follow up with potential clients and citizens • Perform work related errands, maintain office filing and storage systems. • Answer phones, monitor company email, fax, scan and copy documents. • Prepare documents, data entry, reports and correspondence.
Starting pay is $16 to $20 per hour DOE. Peaks to Plains provides medical and dental coverage for the employee, with the option to add dependents. We also provide paid vacation, sick time and holiday, plus a company match on a Simple IRA plan.
We are looking for the ability to: • Think strategically, organize a work plan and execute the effort • Prioritize work tasks in a dynamic environment and quickly switch efforts when needed • Communicate written and verbal technical concepts in simplified themes • Ask questions, problem-solve and communicate results • Work proficiently in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite and WordPress • Approach the work as a creative process, from intense collaboration situations to minimal supervision
The successful candidate will be comfortable with public speaking, and be engaged in the local community through community service, organizations or other means (or a willingness to do so if new to the area). The position may require occasional travel.
Degree in marketing, public relations, communications or related area and 2+ year experience required. Experience with government or corporate marketing and/or public relations preferred.

Senior Planner, requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in planning or related field and four years of professional planning experience. AICP Certification is preferred.
