Castle Rock Park Sprayground, Billings, Montana, City of Billings Parks & Recreation Dept.

Peaks to Plains Design has recently completed the newest aquatics facility for the Heights Neighborhood in Billings in over 20 years! The design encompasses a peanut-shaped colored concrete surface with a trench drain that collects the water from the spray pad to a holding pond. The water from the pond becomes an aesthetic feature as well as a reservoir for irrigation water for the park.

The play elements include age-appropriate play apparatus as well as water-conserving nozzles. By far, the water cannons are one of the most popular features on the pad. The system is controlled by a timer that is adjustable for the duration of the features, sequence of the ground sprays and operating hours.

Red Mountain Campground, Madison County, Bureau of Land Management

Peaks to Plains Design was part of a design team to renovate a day-use area into a new campground for the Bureau of Land Management along the Madison River. Red Mountain Campground at an elevation of 3500 feet is located in southwestern Montana and encompasses 20 acres. This is a basic campground with 16 campsites, toilets and drinking water. Fishing and river floating may be enjoyed on the Madison River, with access to a hand boat launch. Peaks to Plains Design worked with engineers to develop a new roadway, fencing and trails. The campground will also provide restroom facilities and a group picnic shelter. In addition, recreational amenities have been added to the site such as a group fire ring and horseshoe pits.

Peaks to Plains Design is a member of a Design Team with an IDIQ Contract with BLM.
