Peaks to Plains Design, P.C. is a Landscape Architecture, Planning and Environmental Design firm located in Billings, Montana. Established by Jolene Rieck, a licensed landscape architect, the practice focuses on providing high quality land and community planning, site design, and landscape architectural services. The firm serves the needs of private and public clients who have the resources and vision to create a better future for their community.
Peaks to Plains Design specializes in the creation of outdoor spaces. Whether it is the conservation of existing space, an enclosed courtyard with seating, water features and gathering areas, or a linear space such as a highway or a trail, our firm can create a successful solution. We utilize several tools in our palette including plant materials to define spatial boundaries and stimulate visual and olfactory senses. Effective site planning including building placement, layout and grading can influence circulation throughout the area. Unique site furnishings and art placement define the individuality of a space, and with proper placement, make the area a destination for all.

We use the latest in computer technology including AutoCad, Microstation, and desktop publishing applications. This, in combination with perspective sketching and rendering, provides effective communication to clients and other professionals.
Peaks to Plains Design PC is a participant in the Small Business Administration's Section 8(a) program. The firm is also certified as DBE/WBE in the States of Montana and Wyoming. Our clientele includes private individuals, corporations and non-profit agencies in addition to municipal, state and federal agencies. Services related to the implementation of plans include environmental compliance, construction and contract documents, cost estimating, bidding assistance and construction observation and contract administration. The ability to collaborate effectively with clients and with other disciplines enables Peaks to Plains Design to provide comprehensive, innovative, and functional solutions to outdoor space.
