COMMUNITY
SERVICE
Peaks to Plains Design strives to promote a healthy environment by encouraging our employees to participate in volunteer activities throughout the community. Our commitment to giving back includes utilizing both our personal and professional skills to improve our world.
Our employees participate in service organizations such as Zonta Club of Billings as well as past participation on the Yellowstone Historic Preservation Board. In addition, some of our employees participate in activities such as fundraising for Leukemia research and running in the Rock-n-Roll Marathon in San Diego, California.
On a professional level, we teach a landscape design class for homeowners
through our local Parks Department. This class is ideal for educating the
public on design theory, plant selection, xeriscaping, materials and contractor
selection. All employees are members of the American Society of Landscape
Architects, and we regularly participate in their activities. In addition,
we utilize our design skills in activities such as assisting the Heights
Rotary Club with improvements to Castle Rock Park. We also assist communities
with visioning of their projects and guide them through the planning thereof.
In addition, Peaks to Plains Design provides financial support to several
non-profit organizations, including the Zoo Montana, Yellowstone Art Museum
and BikeNet among others.
We feel that by giving back to the community and region of which we live, we, in turn assist those in need, raise the awareness of good design, and become well-rounded individuals. We take our commitment to the community seriously and it becomes integrated in everything we do.
